Sailing South

Our next adventure is taking us to mostly familiar places, with a few new locations on the agenda. It’s been eight years since we cruised, something we did frequently with Mom and Dad back in the day. Princess Cruises, our preferred line, recognized we had been AWOL and they offered us a screamin’ deal we couldn’t pass up.

We’re on the the Island Princess in San Pedro, California bound for one of our favorite places, Panama. During our 19 day journey we’ll stop in Huatulco and Puerto Chiapas, Mexico, as well as Guatemala. After spending a night in the Panama Canal’s Gatun Lake, we’ll turn around and head back towards Los Angeles with stops in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Manzanillo, Mexico.

We have some fun adventures planned at each port, so stay tuned for updates.

We began the trip with a drive to Los Angeles and an overnight stay at the Doubletree adjacent to the port. Arriving in the afternoon gave us a chance for a nice walk around the port and dinner at the hotel. Near Cabrillo Beach

Cruising is a low-stress way to see some incredible places. As frequent customers of Princess we’ll get a few perks like priority boarding and a little internet time. As we have the opportunity we’ll post updates.

Bon voyage!
